Mandatory registration for foreign mountain guides

Mountain guiding activity means leading and accompanying persons in mountain and high-mountain terrain outside marked tourist trails and routes, as well as providing training in mountaineering disciplines, including courses in technical rescue in the mountains, on hiking tours and climbing tours on rock, ice and snow, or in combinations of these terrains at the first and higher grades of climbing difficulty according to the international scale of the international organization, and on ski-mountaineering or skiing tours and descents in ungroomed and deep snow.

1. EPC – Slovakia as a host country

Every foreign mountain guide is required to register in the EPC system.

2. Registration with the NAHVSR
